Kindergartens from Chisinau and abroad exchange experience

The kindergartens from Chisinau are more actively involved in the exchange of experience with similar institutions on the municipal, republican and even international levels. The subject was discussed on Thursday, March 26, at an ordinary meeting with the kindergarten managers. Natalia Strajescu, an official with the Education Division from Chisinau has stated for Info-Prim Neo that the exchange of experience enables the development of the educational system and, in some cases, it even results in endowing the institutions with furniture, equipment, or even with space for the methodical work. “Now we have centers endowed even with copiers and printers,” Natalia Strajescu said. “For now, we can get European funds only being partners with the EU member countries, as we are with Bucharest. Our institutions are not direct beneficiaries of such projects yet. Our relations are at the beginning and, that is why, the investments are made with our own efforts, with the help of Parents Associations, local public authorities or of the local partnerships. In the future, we pursue to use the opportunity to access European funds, especially through our Romanian colleagues,” Natalia Strajescu said. Speaking about the way of establishing these partnerships, she said that a big importance is paid to the Internet. “It seems trite, but if schools have free access to the Internet, then the process of installing this network is only being finished in kindergartens. Having access to the Internet, you have access to local, national and international information resources. Thus, the institutions can find partners from other countries,” Natalia Strajescu added. If we can talk about exchanging experience among pupils in schools, then in kindergartens it is rather an exchange of works. A set of works made by children from Chisinau have been recently sent to an exhibition from Bucharest, Romania, and on March 1, an exchange of presents with our Bulgarian colleagues took place. 5 cooperation agreements have been inked – with three institutions from Bucharest and two kindergartens from Bulgaria for the last two years. The International Symposium which took place in Chisinau in April, 2008, convened participants from Estonia and Russia, with which cooperation agreements were signed and further actions are to be made. As to the exchange of experience with similar institutions from Moldova, we shall focus on the quality aspect in future – fortifying the relations and prolonging joint activities, rather than on the quantity aspect, Strajescu said. Asked why there is a need to draw foreign investments, she said that the state allots money for this area, but “to ensure the quality, we need more. It is obvious that there a need to supplement the material side,” she stated. Chief of Education Division Tatiana Nagnibeda-Tverdohleb recently stated that “we can’t speak about a quality management in education today, if relations with other profile institutions are not established,” irrespective of the fact from which part of the town, country or of this world they are. “There are many nice initiatives, and though this is an opening project, I am sure, and the practice has already proved it, that these borders will get wider. Education has no limits or frontiers. Children are children everywhere,” Tatiana Nagnibeda-Tverdohleb added.
