Former kindergarten no. 198 situated on Igor Vieru street, 5/2, Ciocana district, will be reopened. A decision in this regard was unanimously voted by the Chișinău Municipal Council.

According to Rodica Guțu, the head of the General Department for Education, Youth and Sports, the kindergarten no. 211 and kindergarten nursery no.188 are operating in the area, however, the number of admitted children is higher than the maximum capacity provided by regulations.

Over 200 admission applications were submitted by parents to the soon to be reopened kindergarten.

Rodica Guțu said that the institution has already been repaired and can be opened at any time. The kindergarten is 90% staffed with personnel.

The head of the General Department for Education, Youth and Sports added that kindergarten no. 166 from the Buiucani district will also be reopened by the end of the year. In 2020, the kindergarten no. 3 from the Buiucani district and no. 28 from the Râșcani district will be opened. Additionally, the gymnasium no. 3 building from the Center district will be converted into a kindergarten by the end of next year.
