The kindergarten in Hirbovat village of Anenii Noi district was made energy efficient within a regional development project for which the Government allocated 4.5 million lei from the National Regional Development Fund. The money was used to thermally insulate the external walls of the building and to change the windows and doors. There was bought and installed a solar system for heating water, IPN reports, with reference to the Ministry of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment
Attending the works completion ceremony at the kindergarten, Minister of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment Liviu Volconovici said the improvement of energy efficiency of public buildings is one of the priorities of the regional development policies.
“By this project, we aim to increase access to services and public utilities of a high quality for villagers, to improve the working conditions for this institution’s employees and to create better conditions for a pleasant stay for those who attend the kindergarten. We hope this project will be durable as all the regional development projects have the objective of building the future at home,” stated Liviu Volconovici.
The works to modernize the kindergarten started last June. Currently, the National Regional Development Fund finances energy efficiency works at the sports boarding school in Grimancauti village of Briceni district, the surgical block of the Orhei District Hospital, the health centers in Drochia, Edinet and Soldanesti and the Cantemir District Hospital.
