The kindergarten “Porumbei” in Ciulucani village of Telenesti district has been renovated at a cost of over 2.8 million lei. The Government of Romania contributed over 2.3 million lei of this sum through the program of technical and financial assistance for preschool institutions in the Republic of Moldova, to the value of €26 million. The ceremony to reopen the kindergarten after renovation was held on June 12, IPN reports.
The local authorities contributed almost 300,000 lei to the works, while the Moldova Social Investment Fund over 175,000 lei. There were installed new windows and doors and repaired the heating, ventilation, power, water supply and sewerage systems. The institution was outfitted with furniture, equipment for the cooking facilities and the playground.
The kindergarten in Ciulucani village was built in 1982. It has one story and is 624 square meters in area. The kindergarten is attended by 71 children aged between three and seven. A new crèche group will be now opened at the renovated institution.
