There are long queues at the border crossing points “Palanca-Maiaki” and “Tudora – Starokazacie”, on the segment of the border with Ukraine. According to the press office of the Customs Service, the number of vehicles waiting to cross the border has trebled. During the ordinary days, the border is crossed by about 40 vehicles, while now, before the national holidays, when many people go to the Black Sea to vacation, there are 110 cars, IPN reports.

The Customs Service ordered increasing the number of employees at the border crossing points so as to fluidize traffic.

From August 24 until September 2, the Border Police will monitor the situation at the state border crossing points round-the-clock. If need be, additional measures will be taken to deal with the unpleasant situations for travelers.
