A woman aged 48 was killed by her husband out of jealousy. The man abandoned the scene, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the Ministry of Internal Affairs. On January 12, the Police Commissariat of Nisporeni district was informed that the body of a woman was found in her house in Balauresti village. The police came to the scene and established that the husband aged 51 was the only suspect of the crime. That night, the man and his wife came home after visiting their friends where they drank alcoholic drinks. When at home, the man wanted to make love to his wife, but she refused. They stated to quarrel. Angry and jealous, the man kicked and punched her in the head and on the body. When he saw that she wasn’t breathing, he left the house and went away. In several days, the man returned to the village and was arrested. He confessed that he killed his wife and described how it happened, the Ministry of Internal Affairs says on its website. Earlier, the man was tried for theft and causing of bodily injuries in Russia. He returned recently from Russia, where he had worked for a long time. His wife worked as veterinary doctor in the village. The suspect is now in custody in Nisporeni. If found guiltily of murder, he would serve 10 to 15 years in jail. Since the start of this year, the police have investigated eight cases of murder.
