A number of officers from the administration of the Transnistrian security and militia travel daily to Chisinau and other settlements situated on the right side of the Nistru River, where they actually have their domicile or where they own businesses. The information was made public in the program “Fabrika” on Publika TV channel, IPN reports.
Political analyst Roman Mihaes said that two thirds of the high-ranking officers of the Transnistrian security and militia have apartments and businesses in Chisinau. “It’s known that Antiufeev owns businesses in Chisinau. They come to Chisinau whenever they want, have friends and spend time pleasantly in restaurants and bars. Even Shevchuk amuses himself with friends in bars in Chisinau. Nobody stops him. It’s not excluded that guns for extremist organizations were brought meanwhile, while the authorities take no measures. There are preconditions for a coup to be mounted after November 30. I insist that their access to Moldova’s territory should be banned,” he stated.
Colonel in reserve Andrei Covrig confirmed the information, saying a former colleague of his from the National Army, together with whom he graduated from the German college “George Marshall”, turned out to be an employee of the security services of Transnistrian. “This person had access to the files of the officers of the National Army and this is serious,” he said.
Anatol Caraman, chairman of the Union of Nisru War Veterans “Tiras-Tighina”, also confirmed the given information, expressing his regret that the Moldovan authorities do not arrest these persons even if they mocked at the Moldovan citizens. “When we barred Shevchuk’s access to the VIP hall of the Chisinau airport, about 20 individuals were seen examining the hall and installing video cameras approximately 30 minutes before his arrival. How did they get there? We then detained several persons who ill-treated and kidnapped Moldovans and handed them over to the police, but they were set free. Among them was Vitali Ukraintsev, who staged a number of provocations, including the arrest of the director of “Lucian Blaga” Lyceum Ion Iovcev, but the police officers released them. This happens at a time when our police officers working in Tighina are subject to unprecedented pressure by the Transnistrian authorities. I know that Vitali Rudenco, who is known for the provocations mounted against Moldovans, travels daily to Tiraspol from Grigorievca, Causeni, where he lives with his family,” stated Caraman.
The former acting director of the Security and Information Service Valentin Dediu said that he does not possess information about the businesses owned by Transnistrian officers in Moldova, but knows that some of them own apartments and come to Chisinau for personal purposes.
