The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain, Keir Starmer, is determined to send British military troops to Ukraine for a long period of time, IPN reports.
According to the British publication The Times, Starmer is ready to make an indefinite commitment to deploy British troops "for as long as necessary" with Western allies for peacekeeping.
Several countries, including Britain, France, Turkey, Turkey, Canada and Australia, plan to send up to 30,000 troops to Ukraine. And other countries are ready to help with weapons and logistics.
The UK and France are leading efforts to set up and secure a possible peacekeeping mission in Ukraine in the event of a ceasefire. Britain initiated a "coalition of the willing" to bring together countries that were ready to join.
Defense ministers from the countries in the "coalition of the willing" will meet in London on Thursday 20 March to discuss where peacekeepers should be deployed.
The Foreign Ministry in Kiev emphasized that Ukraine is seeking to expand talks on foreign contingents not only on the ground, but also in the air and at sea.
