The Moldovan karate-do athletes have won ten medals at the Cadet European Championships that took place in Poland.

Victor Munteanu and Iulia Calugher won gold medals. The competition involved 17 Moldovan athletes who competed in “kata”, which is fight against imaginary opponents, and “enbu”, which is a demonstrative duel, and also in “kata teams”.

“It is a very good result for us,” the coach of the Moldovan squad Victor Barca has told IPN.

During November 2-6, the karate-do athletes will contend in a competition in Romania.
