The Ministry of Justice called on the local authorities to assist the citizens who want to access the government service e-Apostille, but do not have an electronic signature or do not have access to a computer, IPN reports.
Minister Veronica Mihailov-Moraru said the digital transformation of public services is a method of providing services faster and cheaper. The efficient cooperation and the involvement of the local public authorities will enable to achieve a higher coverage of electronic public services, according to the EU’s standards and objectives.
On May 2 this year, the Ministry of Justice, in partnership with the e-Government Agency, launched the e-Apostille service in a new version, on a trial basis. Any citizen who possesses an electronic signature can use the service at any hour, from any corner of the world by visiting apostila.gov.md or servicii.gov.md. The service is also provided at the desks of the Apostille and Legalization Division in Chisinau or Balti.
Over 31,000 applications to authenticate documents online have been submitted since the electronic service was launched. About 27,000 requests have been granted.
