The Cabinet decided that June 1 and 2 will be nonworking days, but the working program will be slightly extended to make up for these two days, IPN reports.
Minister of Labor and Social Protection Alexei Buzu said the decision applies to public sector employees. It is recommendatory in character for enterprises operating in the real sector of the national economy. Respectively, the decision concerning the working program on June 1 and 2 will be taken by company managers.
However, the national Baccalaureate exam set for June 2 will take place as the Ministry of Education and Research planned, by involving salary earners in the process in accordance with the Labor Code.
The critical services of the public sector will work as usual, noted Prime Minister Dorin Recean.
On June 1, the Republic of Moldova hosts the second European Political Community Summit that will bring together 50 heads of state and government and high-ranking European officials. Among the key topics for discussion are security, stability and cooperation.
