Moldovan judoka Dorin Gotonoaga won gold at the Under-23 European Judo Championships that were held in Podgorica, Montenegro, IPN reports.

Gotonoaga scored four victories in the 81 kg weight class. He beat in order British judoka James Hayes, Jim Heijman of the Netherlands and Portugal’s Joao Martinho and in the final defeated Croatia’s Dominik Druzeta.

Another three Moldovan judokas ranked fifth. These are Denis Vieru (66 kg), Cornel Andries (73 kg) and Nikon Zaboroshchuk (81 kg).
