Moldovan judoka Alin Bagrin has won a bronze medal at the Cadet European Judo Cup that is taking place in Spain, IPN reports.

Bagrin beat Spain’s Antonio Sandino Ramos, Romania’s David Nagy and Russia’s Sergey Pedchenko, but lost to the winner of the plus 90 kg weight class Nodar Onoprienko of Russia.

Another two Moldovan judokas, Adelin Rusu (73 kg) and Stanislav Popaz (81 kg), ranked fifth. The competition also involved Alexandru Dintiu (66 kg), Bogdan Jizdan (66 kg), Valeria Chelmescu (48 kg) and Raluca Golban (52 kg).
