Judges Liuba Pruteanu and Silviu Girbu have been appointed to serve at the Chisinau Court of Appeals by presidential decrees that were published in the Official Gazette today, IPN reports.

The candidatures proposed by the Superior Council of Magistrates were earlier rejected by President Igor Dodon. However, the law states that if the Council proposes the same candidates a second time, the President has no choice but to comply.

Girbu and Pruteanu were first proposed to be considered by the President in April 2017.
