Prime Minister Dorin Recean, at the start of the ordinary meeting of the Cabinet, mentioned the names of the judges who invalidated the decision by which the Commission for Exceptional Situations (CES) excluded the Chance Party from the competition for the November 5 local elections. He noted that this panel of judges annulled a decision by which the criminal activity and criminal groupings’ interference in the local election process in Moldova was ended, IPN reports.
“I ask you to remember three names: Palanciuc Ecaterina, Negru Veronica and Dutca Ina. This panel of judges of the Appeals Court yesterday decided to annul the Commission for Exceptional Situations’ decision by which they intervened and ended the criminal activity and criminal groupings’ interference in the local election process in the Republic of Moldova,” stated Premier Recean.
According to him, these criminal groupings were financed and supported openly by the Kremlin. “We must realize that a situation is created when a criminal group can come here, in the Republic of Moldova, do what it wants, corrupts voters and judges, mocks at the people and the state should not be able to intervene, to use the instruments needed for this criminal activity to be stopped. We have a different opinion. That’s why the state will intervene every time the national security is under threat,” said Dorin Recean.
On Monday, the Chisinau Appeals Court nullified the Commission for Exceptional Situations’ November 3 decision by which the Chance Party was removed from the electoral competition. “The Government maintains its position – we will challenge the Chisinau Appeals Court’s decision in the Supreme Court of Justice. We will defend the state institutions’ right to protect national security from organized criminal groups,” said the Government’s spokesman Daniel Vodă.
