A judge of the District Commercial Court is investigated for misuse of power and passing of an illegal court decision. According to a communiqué from the Prosecutor General’s Office, the legal proceedings were brought by the Supreme Council of Magistrates following a notification from Prosecutor General Corneliu Gurin, IPN reports.

The prosecutors established that in 2009, breaking the legal-civil norms, the judge intervened in a trial that was earlier stopped based on a reconciliation agreement between the sides and ordered substituting the sequestrated goods that were to be used to satisfy the claims of the plaintiffs. As a result, damage was caused to two companies and the legislation was violated.

The prosecution will be performed by the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office.
