Judge Oleg Sternioală was released in the courtroom, without no other measure being taken against him. Judges declined the prosecutors' request to apply the 30 day-arrest preventive measure. The information was confirmed for IPN by the head of the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office, Viorel Morari.

According to Viorel Morari, the ruling was contested by the anti-corruption prosecutors, who deemed the court's decision unfounded.

Judge of the Supreme Court of Justice Oleg Sternioală was detained three days ago. The magistrate is investigated in a criminal case initiated on large scale money laundry charges.
