Journalistic life depicted in photos

An exhibition of photographs dedicated to World Press Freedom Day – “Journalistic life...” was opened in the square before the monument to Ruler Stephan the Great on May 3. It includes photos of reporters in the line of duty and results of their work in 2011-2012, Info-Prim Neo reports. The exhibition was organized by the Independent Press Association (API) within a project financed by the National Endowment for Democracy (NED). Project coordinator Irina Lazur said that such an exhibition is staged by the association for the first time. ”We tried to promote photojournalism as well. Half of the exhibited pictures show reporters on duty, while the rest are photos that appeared in our press. Displaying a part of the published photos was a condition,” stated Irina Lazur. In order to further promote photojournalism, the API will mount a series of training seminars, mainly for employees of local and regional newspapers. The exhibition “Journalistic life” will continue until May 20. It includes 60 photographs.
