Journalist and writer Efim Josanu died

Journalist and writer Efim Josanu passed away. The administration of the public broadcaster “Teleradio-Moldova” transmitted a message of condolence to the family, relatives and all those who knew him, saying Efim Josanu devoted his life to journalism, his activity at the National Television being prodigious in regaining the freedom of expression and formation of new generations of journalists, IPN reports.

In 2009-2012, he was vice director of the National Television, holding also the post of acting director in 2012.

Efim Josanu was a member of the Union of Journalists of Moldova (1973) and of the Writers Union of Moldova (2005), being the president of honor of the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Moldova (since 2001), a member of the Bureau of the Sports Committee of the Council of Europe (Strasbourg, 1999-2001), a member of the European Olympic Committee (1998-2001). In 1996, Efim Josanu was awarded the Labor Glory Order.
