Moldova’s beach soccer champion Joker-Tornado scored the first victory in the Champions League, against Portsmouth Beach Soccer Club. The match played in Catania ended by 4-3 after overtime, IPN reports.
Joker’s Andrei Negara was a hero as he scored three goals. Sergiu Muntean scored the fourth goal.
As the victory was won as a result of overtime, Joker received only two points and now ranks third in the group. In order to qualify, the team trained by Ruslan Barburos must achieve a positive result in the last match, against Sable Dancers Berna of Switzerland, which has six points.
The top two ranked teams and the best two teams ranked third qualify for the next round. In the first match, Joker lost 3-4 to the Czech Republic’s Bohemians also after overtime.
