Joint Romania – Moldova Commission for European Integration meets in Bucharest

The Joint Romania – Moldova Commission for European Integration convenes in Bucharest on June 17-18. The Commission’s fourth meeting centers on the signing of the Association Agreement between Moldova and the EU and on the bilateral cooperation in the economy and education. There will be formulated proposals for improving the legal framework and the joint projects under implementation, IPN reports.

According to a communiqué from the Parliament’s press service, in Bucharest the Moldovan parliamentary delegation will have meetings with the administration of the Senate and of the Chamber of Deputies.

The MPs will take part in the festive meeting that will be held to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the foundation of Romania’s Senate and in the opening of the exhibition “Made in Bessarabia”. The exhibit will take place at the Palace of Parliament on June 18 – 21 and is aimed at making the Moldovan products known in Romania and on European market.

The Moldovan delegation includes co-chairwoman of the Joint Commission Ana Gutu, who heads the commission on foreign policy and European integration, deputy head of the legal commission on appointments and immunities Tudor Deliu, member of the commission on culture, education and mass media Maria Ciobanu, member of the commission on public administration and regional development George Mocanu, member of the commission on culture, education and mass media Oleg Tulea, and member of the commission on agriculture and food industry Mihail Solcan.
