Joint meeting of Moldovan and Romanian Governments set for November

The joint meeting of the Governments of Moldova and Romania is expected to take place in November, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Iurie Leanca informed in a news conference on September 2, Info-Prim Neo reports. “We have not yet agreed a date, but November is the most suitable month for such meetings. An exact date will be set by diplomatic ways,” said the minister. Representatives of seven Romanian ministries and seven Moldovan ministries will take part in the joint meeting of the Governments. Iurie Leanca announced that a meeting of ambassadors may be held in Chisinau, similar to that in which he took part in Bucharest this week. “Such a meeting is necessary and is an ordinary practice for the foreign ministries,” he stated. Earlier, the Romanian Foreign Minister Teodor Baconschi informed that a joint meeting of the Moldovan and Romanian Governments would take place in Galati in June. It was postponed as the groups of experts were still working on the agreed sector projects. He said such meetings should take place once in two months and they should center on the results of the official visits and issues concerning the European integration and the joint accomplishments of Moldova and Romania.
