The Government of Moldova will have a joint meeting with the Government of Romania not in Tulcea, as it was earlier decided, but in Constanta. Veronica Gerbovetski, spokeswoman for Prime Minister Valeriu Strelet, has told IPN that the Romanian side didn’t provide explanations for taking such a decision.
The Romanian press reported that the Prime Minister of Romania Victor Ponta wants to clearly transmit a message of support for the European reforms and for the Moldovans who are dissatisfied with the state of affairs in the country. “I think that in such a difficult moment, we must indeed support them as no one else can help them so swiftly now. I think the truthfulness of the words that ‘we are brothers’ can be proven namely in such moments,” said the Romanian Premier.
The joint meeting of the Cabinets of the two states begins at 10am on September 22. Afterward, the two Premiers will give a joint news conference.
