Cup holder JLC beat current champion Lexmax 5-3 in Moldova’s Futsal Supercup. Ivan Caraman and Alexandru Ghercioglo scored by two goals for JLC, IPN reports.

JLC played well the first half, leading by 3-0. For two minutes the team played without Sergiu Munteanu, who was eliminated. Lexmax balanced the game in the second half and reduced the difference. But JLC was more successful and won Moldova’s Futsal Supercup for the first time.

“We are glad that we won a new trophy. I hope we will have a nice performance in the championship too,” said JLC player Ivan Caraman.

“We didn’t plan well our defense. We played this game too relaxed,” said Lexmax coach Vasile Arlet.

A new National Futsal Campership starts in a week. It will involve five teams: Lexmax, Tarsus, JLC, Atletico, and Socol Tiraspol.
