JCC has not yet found solution to deal with Transnistrian checkpoints

Not even after holding seven meetings did the Joint Control Commission (JCC) identify a solution to remove the two checkpoints that were set up by the Transnistrian authorities near Pohrebea village and the Dubasari hydroelectric plant, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from Moldova’s delegation to the JCC. On November 8, the Commission had an extraordinary meeting in Dubasari town and discussed the issue. Moldova’s delegation backed the representatives of Russia, Ukraine and the OSCE Mission in their efforts to reach compromise solutions so as to liquidate the border guard and migration posts and avoid situations that may worsen the situation in the region. But the Transnistrian delegation rejected the proposal, asking again for time for holding additional consultations with Tiraspol decision makers on the made suggestions, reads the communiqué. At the request of the Transnistrian side, the next meeting of the JCC will take place in Dubasari on November 11.
