JCC delegations agree to avoid tensions at checkpoint no.9
The delegations of the Joint Control Commission (JCC) agreed to abstain from unilateral actions that could aggravate the situation around peacekeeping post no.9, Info-Prim Neo learned from a JCC press release.
At the last meeting, the delegations shared their opinions about the text of Instructions on situations in the Security Zone that require the deployment of military observers. The Moldovan delegation says that the Transnistrian side refuses to apply these instructions and that it insists on the re-negotiation of the document or its annulment, reads the release.
The Moldovan delegation expressed its concern about the obstructive attitude of the Transnistrian delegation and thinks that the review of previously adopted decisions within the peacekeeping mechanism could create a dangerous precedent. The Moldovan delegation is nonetheless willing to reexamine the articles on which the opinions of the two delegations differ.
