The Republic of Moldova will receive a grant of 100 million yen or €800,000 from Japan for buying medical equipment, products or services and for maintenance in the framework of the economic and social development program, IPN reports, quoting the Government’s press service.

Prime Minister Ion Chicu thanked the Government of Japan for the provided support. “We thank the Japanese side for the permanent support offered to us in time, especially in this key area for health protection,” he stated.

A number of stages are to be covered for using the offered assistance. These include the creation of a consultative council, disbursement of funds, purchase, supply and utilization of the medical equipment for the right purpose.

The money will be disbursed after a written notification is received until March 31, 2021.
