Japanese buy Moldovan tractors
Six Agricultural Production Co-operative societies received on Wednesday, August, the registration warrants of the tractors Belarusi-82, purchased with the money received in the framework of the 5th GRANT installment, 2KR assistance project for farmers financed by the Government of Japan.
According to the head of the Press Center of the Ministry of Agriculture and Alimentation, Veniamin Balan, the farmers also received Bayer-made irrigation systems, purchased in the framework of the Alimentary Security Program of the European Commission. The warrants have been given by Noshiro Katay, the counselor of the Embassy of Japan to the Republic of Moldova based in Kiev, and the head of the economic policy section of the European Commission for the Republic of Moldova, Paolo Berizzi, who gave to the Moldovan farmers the Bayer mobile irrigation systems.
During 5 years, through the 2KR project the farmers of Moldova received 5051 tractors and 731 combines.
