The Republic of Moldova will benefit from a preferential loan of 13.5 billion yen, which is equal to over €90 million, offered by the Government of Japan through the Japan International Cooperation Agency. The MPs gave a final reading to a bill to ratify agreements to implement the Development Policies for Economic Recovery program, IPN reports.
The financing will go to cover the budget deficit and to support the reforms and policies of the Government of the Republic of Moldova. In particular, these refer to the economic recovery of the country, improvement of the medical system and business environment. The financial assistance will contribute to promoting the efforts to develop the Republic of Moldova.
The loan is repayable in 40 years with a grace period of 10 years. The money will be disbursed within two years of the signing of the agreement.
