Conflict Settlement centre INRECO launched a contest for financing advocacy projects of NGOs from Chisinau Municipality. The aim of the project is to stimulate nongovernmental organizations to propose strategies which would lead to the increase of the receptivity of Chisinau public authorities in its dialogue with the civil society. Special support will be provided for initiatives of coalition of civil society organizations involved in advocacy projects. The deadline for presenting projects is January 8. The printed forms and the application requirements can be solicited from the NGO ”INRECO”, 31 August Street, no. 98, off. 205, tel. 20 34 64 or the e-mail: inrecong@mail.md. Three ideas of advocacy campaigns will be selected in the period between January 8 and 22. INRECO evaluation council will analyse and pre-select the financing requests based on the following criteria: the quality of analysing the context and identifying the problem, relevance and the justification of the proposed strategy, abilities and experience in implementing the campaign, the aim and the value of the potential partnerships, organisation structure. The winner of the contest will benefit from a certain financial support for implementing the advocacy campaign in the period between February 23 and March 16. The contest is part of the project “Active involvement of nongovernmental organizations in participatory democracy” organized by the Euroregional Centre for Democracy (Timisoara, Romania), Conflict Resolution Institute INRECO from Chisinau and the Regional agency of trans-border cooperation of the “Lower Danube” Euroregion (Reni, Ukraine). A similar contest is organized in Reni. The project will be finished with a public festivity where the partners of the project will announce the best campaign.
