Moldovan coach Ivan Tabanov signed a one-season contract with the Lithuanian team Tauras, which was demoted after the last championship. However, Tauras will play in the major league as the Lithuanian Football Federation decided to increase the number of competitors, IPN reports.
During the last two seasons, Ivan Tabanov trained the team Daugava, with which he became champion of Latvia in 2012. ”In Lithuania, I hope to achieve the same good results as in the championship of Latvia,” Tabanov stated for a TV channel.
In Moldova, the 46-year-old coach had trained Zimbru for four seasons, but won no trophy with it. Before going to the Baltic Countries, Tabanov held the post of vice president of the club Saxan, of Division A.
