Moldovan coach Ivan Tabanov decided to leave Taurus only two months after signing a contract with the Lithuanian team. He took such a decision after Taurus was relegated to the second league, IPN reports.
When the contract was signed, the administration of Taurus promised Tabanov that the team will keep its position in the upper league. In the last two seasons, the 47-year-old coach trained the team Daugava, which became champion of Latvia in the first season and won bronze in the second one.
In Moldova, Ivan Tabanov had trained Zimbru for four years, but won no trophy with it.
Moldovan halfback Sergiu Japalau also left Taurus.
