Canoeist Ivan Korshunov has qualified for the canoe sprint semifinals at the Buenos Aires 2018 Youth Olympic Games. In the second series of the canoe single quarterfinals, he scored the result of 1:37.32, IPN reports.
Korshunov was followed by Stefanos Kapakoglou of Greece (1:38.38) and Cuba’s Alexei Ramirez (1:39.42). The semifinals will take place today, October 10.
At the third edition of the Youth Olympic Games, Moldova is represented by 17 athletes.
Swimmer Tatiana Salcuțan won gold in the 200 meter backstroke with the result of 2:10.13. The swimmer trained by Yevgeny Karabetski also ranked eighth in the 100 meter breaststroke.
