Unaffiliated MPs Iurie Leanca and Eugen Carpov could support the no-confidence motion against the Filip Government that the Socialists intend to make. The leader of the European People’s Party of Moldova (PPEM) Iurie Leanca made such an announcement in the program “Fourth power” on N4 TV channel, IPN reports.
“We will see what the reasons for the no-confidence motion are. If they coincide with our opinion, we will vote the no-confidence motion,” he stated.
Iurie Leanca noted that they have objections to the work done by the Filip Government. “Three months is given for assessing the work of a government. But the country faces a serious crisis and we cannot speak about timeframes now,” he said.
The leader of the PPEM also said that the party he heads does not give up the idea of holding a referendum on the dismissal of the Mayor General of Chisinau municipality Dorin Chirtoaca. “The situation in the capital city is disastrous. Chirtoaca’s only chance is to convince us with concrete results by September, when we will initiate the procedure for organizing the referendum,” he stated.
