Prime Minister Iurie Leanca will make public a report on the implementation of the Government’s priorities for the first 100 days in a press briefing on September 19. Analysts consider that of all the announced priorities, the one related to the European integration was the best fulfilled, IPN reports.

The three major objectives announced by Iurie Leanca in June were: creation of new jobs, the fight against corruption, and a higher speed on the path to Europeans integration.

Analyst Ion Tabarta believes that the third objective was achieved the best as Moldova has moved towards the EU at an accelerated pace. The Moldovan political class was more mobilized, while the European partners were more united. EU high-ranking officials paid visits to Moldova. As to workplaces and the fight against corruption, the results will be visible later. The analyst gave a general grade of ‘8’ to the Government for the first 100 days.

Political analyst Petru Bogatu said that the current Cabinet, as the previous ones, does not possess skills of communicating with the public and sometimes cannot present the obtained results. The lack of communication returned like a boomerang against the Government in the case of Banca de Economii. “The executive is right in many situations. Foreign investors should be indeed attracted. But how? In what conditions? What are the rules of the game? The people must know these things,” he stated.

According to Petru Bogatu, a sincere debate was needed between the authorities and experts, NGOs. They made speculations about the conceding of the Chisinau International Airport over the last few weeks. The Government is to blame for this as it didn’t explain things. “The lack of communication is the Government’s mistake,” stated the analyst.

Iurie Leanca was voted in as Premier on May 30.
