Prime Minister Iurie Leanca intends to have a telephone discussion with his Russian counterpart Dmitri Medvedev about the ban on the imports of Moldovan wine into Russia, IPN reports.
“We want to have civilized and constructive commercial relations, in the spirit of the commitments we have as members of the World Trade Organization and the CIS Free Trade Area, and which result from the good relations between Chisinau and Moscow,” Iurie Leanca said in a news conference on Monday.
At the beginning of September, Russia banned the import of Moldovan wine and brandy, arguing they are of a poor quality.
