The candidate for premiership Iurie Leanca on February 4 has a meeting with members of the parliamentary group of the Liberal Party. He will make effort to convince them to vote for the Cabinet and its government program. Iurie Leana will not yet have consultations with the Communist MPs, as he planned.
Liberal lawmaker Valeriu Munteanu has told IPN that as far as he knows, the meeting with Iurie Leanca will take place, but he does not know the hour when it will start. Alina Zotea, head of the Liberal parliamentary group’s apparatus, said she cannot provide details about the meeting.
Communist MP Anatolie Zagorodnyi stated for IPN that the leader of the Party of Communists Vladimir Voronin earlier said that they do not have what to discuss with Iurie Leanca. Vladimir Voronin noted that the Communists will not support a government headed by Iurie Leanca as the Cabinet must be led by an apolitical person coming from the business sector.
