Iurie Leanca: I hope colleagues from PLDM will take part in negotiations

The leader of the PPEM Iurie Leanca is hopeful that the PLDM will take part in the formation of a new government coalition, but is not against the participation of the MPs of the PCRM and PSRM either. He made such statements after the negotiations between the PDM, PL and PPEM held in the evening of November 9, IPN reports.

“I hope the colleagues from the PLDM will come to the negotiations tomorrow evening. It’s time to put reason above everything and to leave the emotions aside. If the Communists and Socialists want to sign, they can do it, but they should not be the main players of the future government. We made too many mistakes and can no longer repeat them,” stated Leanca.

He also said that the formation of a pro-European government coalition with the participation of the PLDM will unlock the suspended financial assistance provided by the foreign donors. “Any coalition must act based on the November 30, 2014 vote. We must understand what the stakes for the people are and propose solutions. The situation is very difficult. The country is close to a default. I discussed with a number of European officials. I’m absolutely convinced that we will obtain a commitment on the part of the pro-European partners. We must only do our homework. Owing to the political crisis, not the MPs, but the ordinary people will be affected, but they are not to blame,” said Leanca.
