Prime Minister Iurie Leanca will pay a visit to Kiev, Ukraine, at the beginning of next week. The Premier had a phone conversation with his Ukrainian counterpart Arseny Yatseniuk. The two underlined the necessity of strengthening the bilateral dialogue and discussed the developments in the region, IPN reports.
According to a communiqué from the Government, Iurie Leanca and Arseny Yatseniuk will examine a wide range of subjects from the bilateral and European agendas.

The Ukrainian administration was ousted following violent protests that resulted in over 80 deaths. President Victor Yanukovych left for Russia, being afterward discharged by a decision of the Supreme Rada. The situation became tense after the authorities in Crimea declared the area autonomous region and announced a referendum on joining Russia. Earlier this month, Russian troops were sent to the peninsula on the pretext of keeping the peace and protecting the Russian minorities in the region.
