Prime Minister Iurie Leanca on November 14 leaves for Bucharest, where he will have a meeting with his counterpart Victor Ponta. The officials will discuss the Iasi – Ungheni gas pipeline project and the cooperation in the energy sector, IPN reports, quoting a communiqué from the Government’s press service.
Another subject for discussion will be the reconstruction of at least two bridges over the Prut, which were destroyed during World War II – one in Ungheni, for road traffic, and another one in Leova district.
On November 15, Iurie Leanca and Victor Ponta will go to Brussels, where they will meet with the President of the European Commission Jose Manuel Barroso. Afterward, the Moldovan Premier will have a meeting with the President of the European Council Herman Van Rompuy, which will center on Moldova’s European agenda.
On Friday afternoon, Iurie Leanca will have separate discussions with the European Commission Vice President and Commissioner for Transport Siim Kallas, and European Commissioner for Home Affairs Cecilia Malstrom.
Iurie Leanca will be accompanied by Deputy Prime Ministers Natalia Gherman and Valeriu Lazar.
