Prime Minister Iurie Leanca is leaving for Brussels where he will sign the Association Agreement between Moldova and the EU on June 27. Today, June 26, the Premier will have a meeting with European Commissioner for Energy Gunther Oettinger and will take part in the session of the Moldova – EU Cooperation Council, IPN reports, quoting the Government’s press service.
On June 27, Iurie Leanca will sign the Association Agreement between Moldova and the European Union. The same day, he will have separate meetings with European officials, including Commissioner for Home Affairs Cecilia Malmström, High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton and the candidate of the European People’s Party for President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker.
The Moldova delegation to Brussels includes Deputy Prime Ministers Natalia Gherman, Valeriu Lazar and Eugen Carpov, Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry Vasile Bumacov, Minister of the Interior Dorin Recean, and Minister of Education Maia Sandu.
