Iurie Leanca associates Communists’ ‘velvet revolution’ with ‘blood revolution’

Prime Minister Iurie Leanca associates the ‘velvet revolution’ announced by the Communists with a ‘blood revolution’. “When I hear about the ‘velvet revolution’ announced by the Communists, I think there is a contradiction of terms as the Communists are associated with a ‘blood revolution’,” said the Premier, when asked by the journalists to comment on the statements of the Communist leader Vladimir Voronin, who told a publication that they prepare a ‘velvet revolution’, IPN reports.

Iurie Leanca said that under the Constitution, the authorities must protect the order and use all the instruments they have in this respect. “We have a majority in Parliament. We have a Government that set clear objectives. We are determined to show the people that the reforms launched in 2009 can bring results, workplaces, reduced corruption and accomplishments in the European agenda,” stated Iurie Leanca.

Vladimir Voronin said in an interview that the PCRM is staging a ‘velvet revolution’ to remove the current government. He also said that the Leanca Government must resign this autumn.
