The chairman of the European People’s Party of Moldova (PPEM) Iurie Leanca and members of the initiative group for creating the new political organization on August 5 submitted the application and file for having the PPEM registered, IPN reports.
“We hope that the Ministry of Justice will do its duty consciously and correctly and will exactly observe the law. We will be ready to provide any explanation in the process of analyzing the file,” said Iurie Leanca. The leader of the PPEM voiced hope that the party will be registered within a month.
The file contains over 8,000 applications for joining the party collected in 19 districts, in Chisinau and in Balti. The European People’s Party of Moldova was constituted by the unanimous vote of the delegates to the July 26 Congress.
