Prime Minister Iurie Leanca and his Romanian counterpart Victor Ponta will celebrate the abolition of the visa requirements for Moldovans on April 29. The two officials will travel to Sculeni village of Ungheni district, where they will discuss with the residents, IPN reports.

According to a communiqué from the Government, afterward the two Premiers will go to the Sculeni border crossing point to talk to the Moldovans who will cross the border over the Prut River without visas, based on the biometric passport.

Starting with April 28, the Moldovans holding biometric passports will be able to travel visa-free to the European Union member states.
