The discussions on the selection of a common candidate for the presidential elections, held by the Party “Platform Dignity and Truth”, the Party “Action and Solidarity”, the European People’s Party of Moldova (PPEM) and the Liberal Democratic Party, didn’t make headway, the chairman of the PPEM Iurie Leanca stated in a program on “Realitatea TV” channel, IPN reports.
According to him, the consultations started in April and so far they spoke only about the goals and principles of each party. They also considered the possibility of identifying an apolitical candidate, but no compromise has been yet reached.
Iurie Leanca also said that the four pro-European parties took now a break, but the discussions will continue.
