Iurie Ciocan, who is running in Romania's parliamentary elections on December 1st on the local list of the Social Democratic Party, has launched his campaign video. He claims that he aims to be the bridge between Chișinău and Bucharest and is ready to fight for the interests of Romanians from the Republic of Moldova and the diaspora in the Romanian Parliament.
In support of this message, the video includes a boxing scene in which he both receives and delivers punches, symbolically reflecting the struggle he is prepared to undertake.
"On any path I've chosen throughout my life, I have always gone to the end, regardless of obstacles and challenges. I have overcome them with dignity and faith. Today, I am embarking on a new path – I am determined to be the representative of Romanians from Moldova and the diaspora in the Romanian Parliament. I will be your voice in the Romanian Parliament to jointly address the issues faced by Romanians on both sides of the Prut. I am Iurie Ciocan, and I want to do what is necessary to offer you a safe path and a prosperous future," states Iurie Ciocan in the video released on Monday, November 11.
Iurie Ciocan was officially nominated as a candidate for the parliamentary elections on October 4th during a visit to Chișinău by the leader of the ruling party across the Prut, Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu. Ciocan will be running in constituency 43, designated for Romanians in the diaspora and the Republic of Moldova.
