Iulian Groza joins Supreme Security Council as member, Dorin Recean as secretary

The executive director of the Institute for European Policies and Reforms (IPRE) Iulian Groza was named member of the Supreme Security Council (SSC). A decree to modify the decree on the constitution of the Supreme Security Council was signed by President Maia Sandu, IPN reports.

“We are confident that our colleague in the SSC will contribute to increasing the civil society’s role in the process of reforming, monitoring and implementing the security policies of the Republic of Moldova,” IPRE posted on Facebook.

By the same decree, there was introduced the post of SSC secretary. This will be occupied by Dorin Recean, adviser to the President on national security and defense.

Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Oleg Serebrian replaced Vladislav Kulminski on the Council, while the position of Vladimir Munteanu was rectified as “first deputy governor”.

Also, Maia Sandu signed a decree to appoint Tatiana Tabuncic as member of the Integrity Council for a five-year term and to name Lilian Darii as Moldova’s Ambassador to the Russian Federation.
