It’s a pity that Turcanu was broken, Viorel Topa
Businessman Viorel Topa denies the accusations made against him by the ex-president of Victoriabank Victor Turcanu in a news conference on September 16, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting an email message sent by the businessman.
He denied the accusations against him and businessman Victor Topa and formulated a series of questions for Victor Turcanu, which are aimed at proving that he is an accomplice of businessman and First Deputy Speaker Vlad Plahotniuc.
The sides accuse each other of involvement in the appropriation of an important number of shares in Victoriabank.
Viorel Topa said that Victor Turcanu made the statements in the news conference under the influence of the criminal case that was opened against him several years ago. “It’s a pity that Turcanu was broken by the arrest made by Zumbreanu! (Bogdan Zumbreanu, high-ranking official of the Center for Combating Corruption and Economic Crime – e.n.). I feel sorry for him as he accepted to sell his soul to the Devil!” said Viorel Topa.
