Italians suspected of perversity towards minors in Balti
Two Italians became victims of a robbery and then started to be investigated as suspects by the police. They are suspected of perversity towards minors, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to the official website of the Ministry of the Interior, the two Italian citizens were attacked by three masked persons with cudgels in the municipality of Balti, on the stairs of the building where they rented an apartment. They were robbed of 1 500 lei and identification papers.
The attackers were identified soon. They turned out to be a 21-year-old man from Floresti town and two minor students of the Balti boarding school.
It was established that the Italians aged 56 and, respectively, 60 offered the minors to provide sexual services for money. It was also determined that the two men have come to Moldova 2-3 times a year since 2009. They are suspected of perversity towards at least four minors and face up to five years in jail.
The police in Balti are investigating the case in order to establish all the related circumstances. The attackers will stand trial for robbery.
