A delegation of Italian industrialists paid a fact-finding visit to the Transnistrian region in order to explore possibilities of establishing economic cooperation relations, IPN reports.
The Italian guests – president of the Chamber of Commerce of the Province of Pezzaro and Urbino Alberto Drudi, representative of the textiles and banking sectors of Milan Maristella Miatello, and expert of Diletta company Mauro Murgea – presented a series of proposals to supply Italian furniture and clothes to Transnistria.
Visiting several large industrial companies in the region, such as textile company “Tirotex” that exports 35% of its production to Italy and electrical lathe making company “Electromas”, the Italians remained pleasantly surprised.
“I thought I will see a small region with a low development level, but I found some modern companies and wonderful people,” Maristella Miatello said in a meeting with representatives of the Transnistrian administration. She underlined the necessity of considering possibilities of founding joint companies in Transnistria.
